News and Announcements

Hello all,

I thought I might have start date information for us by now, but we’re still waiting. On July 31st the CHSAA commissioner emailed out her gratitude for patience . . . and then asked for more patience. Which we can do! I truly believe CHSAA is doing everything they can to find a solution for each sport.

So, onward with open gyms this week!

Our fourth week of INDOOR open gyms will be held:
Monday, August 3 – 7:00-8:30am for FRESHMEN/JUNIORS
Monday, August 3 – 9:00-10:30am for SOPHOMORES/SENIORS
Thursday, August 6 – 5:00-6:30pm for FRESHMEN/JUNIORS
Thursday, August 6 – 7:00-8:30pm for SOPHOMORES/SENIORS

Please use this link to sign up.

The REQUIRED Return to Workout waiver is attached. If you have already turned in a signed waiver, you do not need to fill it out again. We will have blank copies available – a parent/guardian signature is a must.

What to expect at our indoor open gyms:
> Athletes will have their temperature checked and be asked one health screening question upon arrival: “Have you recently been sick with a fever or cough?”
> We will maintain social distancing as often as possible.
> Please plan to wear your mask while entering and exiting the gym.
> We will also be required to wear our masks when 6ft of distance cannot be guaranteed, but we’ll take several “mask breaks” and plan our activities accordingly.
> And, of course, athletes can take a break WHENEVER they need to.

What to bring to our indoor open gyms:

  • Your own water bottle
  • Your signed copy of the REQUIRED waiver (if you haven’t brought one yet)
  • Your mask
  • Your energy!
  • You do not need to bring your own ball

Update on Chatfield Volleyball

Posted by Chatfield Charger Volleyball at Apr 29, 2020 2:57PM PDT

Hello CSHVB families,

Truly hoping this message finds everybody safe and sound. I just wanted to acknowledge the August 1st date that has been set by the district – as it stands now, sports-related in-person gatherings are on hold until August 1. This, of course, is subject to change.

I sure will be missing our open gyms and our youth camps, but I have high hopes for August! Please stay tuned for some optional online connection opportunities for our program.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, all!

Summer Stuff

Posted by Chatfield Charger Volleyball at Mar 16, 2020 2:44PM PDT

Looking for stuff to do this summer? Check out any college volleyball program for their camp schedules. A few are listed below for easy reference. Look for an “Individual Skills” camp if your daughter is interested in specializing (there are serving camps, hitting camps, setting camps, etc.) or an “All Skills” camp if she’s just interested in everything volleyball.

Air Force

Regis University

Metro State

Denver-area volleyball clubs can be found on They usually post a summer schedule of camps.

Athletes can also get lots of experience and have fun in any local rec league (Foothills, South Suburban, etc.) by playing doubles, 3-on-3, indoor/outdoor, etc.

Love sand? Beach volleyball opportunities are available – check out Yeti Beach or Flourish Beach for nearby options.

Annual Car Wash a Big Success

Posted by Chatfield Charger Volleyball at Sep 8, 2019 10:48PM PDT

Thanks to the generous families, friends, and community that surround our volleyball program we held another successful car wash day. I’m excited and grateful to report that we received a total of $5840.03 in donations – wow! This would not have been possible without the many, many parents who spent their day with us on Saturday, from serving food to taking donations to handling the power washers and everything in between. It truly was a great team effort! The West Metro Fire truck #13 and Coach Stegeman’s pet pig , Theodore, were also big highlights.

Thanks, all!
